TerraShift Earthworks handles everything between the surveyor's pegs and the builder's first pour. We work in clay, rock, swamp and sand — whatever the Far North throws at us.
Site clearing & mulching
Trees, scrub, stumps and old fencing cleared and mulched on-site. We chip up to 300mm diameter.
Excavation & bulk earthworks
House pad cuts, dam construction, pond excavation. We move up to 800 m³ per day with the CAT 320.
Driveway formation
Cut to grade, compacted base course, AP40 metal surfacing. Swale drains and culverts included.
Drainage & soak holes
Trenching for stormwater, wastewater and subsoil drains. Soak holes and detention tanks to council spec.
Retaining wall prep
Benching, back-cut and compacted base for timber pole, concrete block or gabion basket walls.
Rural track formation
Farm tracks, forestry access and fire breaks cut and metalled to NZTA standards where required.

14,000 m³Cleared a 4-hectare kiwifruit block for 12 residential lots. Six-week programme: stumping, bulk cut, drainage and road formation.
Lifestyle block, Matauri Bay
320 m drivewayHouse pad cut into a hillside, 320-metre accessway with swale drains, and a benched retaining wall base. Completed in four weeks.
Council stormwater, Waipapa
800 m pipe800 metres of 300mm stormwater pipe and 12 manholes for FNDC. Completed two weeks ahead of schedule with zero safety incidents.
