Redwoods Bike Hub is the trailhead base for Rotorua's Whakarewarewa Forest trail network. Mountain-bike hire, trail shuttle, wash-down station and a small gear shop — everything between the car park and the singletrack.

Trail shuttle

Skip the climb, ride the descent.

Our shuttle van runs a loop from the hub to the top of the Tokorangi plateau every 45 minutes during peak season (Oct–Apr) and hourly in winter. Fits 8 bikes on the trailer. No booking needed for the regular loop — pay at the hub or tap on board.

3 km south of Rotorua CBD. Turn off Tarawera Road at the Redwoods sign — we're at the far end of the main car park, next to the trail map board. Free parking.

Before you ride

Arrive 15 minutes before your hire time for sizing and a quick bike check. Wear closed-toe shoes (no jandals). Bring water — there's no tap on the trail. ID (passport or driver licence) required as a damage bond.

Under-16s must ride with an adult. Under-12s are limited to Grade 2 trails. All riders must sign a liability waiver.

Cancellations: free up to 24 hours before. Within 24 hours the hire fee is charged. Weather cancellations by us are fully refunded or rescheduled.
