FAQ
How much does a callout cost?
The diagnostic visit is $80 and includes the first 30 minutes of labour. If you go ahead with the repair on the same visit the $80 is deducted from the final invoice, so you only pay once. Same-day callouts add $40.
Do you carry parts on the van?
We stock the most common parts for Fisher & Paykel, Bosch, LG, Samsung and Electrolux — bearings, belts, seals, pumps, thermostats and heating elements. Roughly 92% of jobs are completed in a single visit. If we need to order a part it usually arrives within two working days from our Auckland supplier.
Can you fix my appliance if it is still under warranty?
If the appliance is under manufacturer warranty, contact the brand first — they will assign an authorised repairer (which may be us for Fisher & Paykel and Bosch units in the Franklin area). Out-of-warranty, we are happy to quote on any brand.
Is it worth repairing or should I replace?
Our rule of thumb: if the repair costs less than half the price of a comparable new appliance, repair it. We will always give you an honest opinion — we would rather lose a job than fit a $300 part into a machine that has two years left in it.
What hours do you work?
Monday to Friday 7:30am – 5pm, and Saturdays 8am – 12pm for pre-booked jobs. We do not work Sundays or public holidays. Same-day callouts are available Monday to Friday if you ring before 10am.
How do I pay?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and bank transfer. Payment is due on completion of the repair. For jobs over $500 we can split the payment across two invoices — half on completion, half within 14 days.
